Every flow in Treica, written by walking the screen it describes. Where an article tells you what the product will not do on your behalf, that is the part worth reading twice.
Building the register
The four records a DORA register is made of, in the order the product needs them: the third party, the service it delivers, the contract, and the business function that depends on it.
- How do I add an ICT third-party provider?Create the provider record that everything else hangs from, and record an identifier the authority can match against the GLEIF register.
- How do I check that an LEI is really the provider's?Look the identifier up in GLEIF, the register that issues them, and keep the answer with the provider record.
- How do I record an ICT service? The service is what the provider actually delivers. Its type is a primary key in the filing, so it has to be one of the nineteen the authority defines.
- How do I record a contract? The contractual arrangement, its dates, its cost, and the four Article 30 clauses a supervisor will look for.
- How do I connect a contract to the business function it supports? The link between an arrangement and a function is a mandatory column in the filing, and it is the step most registers are missing.
Evidence and documents
Attaching the certificates and reports a supervisor will ask for, showing they have not been altered since, and erasing one when you must.
- How do I attach a certificate or report to a provider?Upload the document once, attach it to every record it supports, and keep a hash that proves it has not changed.
- How do I permanently erase a document?Removing a document from the register hides it. Destroying it deletes the stored file and redacts the record, and cannot be undone.
Validating and filing
How to find out what would be rejected before the authority does, how to generate the package, and how to produce the exact bytes you filed two years later.
- What do the errors and warnings on the validation screen mean?Errors block a filing and cannot be overridden. Warnings describe your firm rather than your data, and can be acknowledged with a justification.
- How do I generate the submission package?Producing the xBRL-CSV package the authority accepts, and what the product refuses to do on your behalf.
- How do I show an auditor exactly what I filed in a previous year?Every generated package is frozen with its hash, its register snapshot and the validation run that authorised it, and cannot be altered afterwards.
- How do I get ready for a supervisory examination? What to have in place before an examiner asks, and which judgements remain yours no matter what this product does.
